Diluting into your regular watering (1 tsp per quart) keeps nutrition steady — fast-growing tropicals are heavy feeders and respond better to consistent light feeding than occasional heavy doses.

At 1 tsp per quart, the 8 oz bottle makes about 48 watering cans of feed. For a typical shelf of 10–15 plants fed every 1–2 weeks in season, that's several months of feeding — and the 32 oz bottle four times that.

Most common foliage houseplants qualify: monstera, philodendron, pothos, alocasia, calathea, banana, bird of paradise, and dracaena. They share the same nitrogen-forward, fast-growing needs. Plants with specialized needs — orchids, succulents, carnivorous plants — do better with their dedicated TPS formulas.

Leaf size comes down to steady nitrogen, consistent moisture, and enough light. This formula covers the first, running nitrogen ahead of phosphorus and potassium. Pair regular feeding with bright indirect light and soil that stays lightly moist, and each new leaf should come in larger than the last.

No — at the directed dilution, the 3-1-2 formula is designed for regular use through the growing season. Nitrate-based nitrogen and low salt concentration make burn very unlikely. For recently repotted or newly acquired plants, start at half strength for the first two feedings.

New growth typically comes in greener within the first couple of weeks of regular feeding, and leaf size improves over the season as the plant keeps pushing new growth. Plants that have been in the same pot for more than a year tend to show the most noticeable turnaround.
