Liquid palm tree fertilizer with a 3.6-3-5.1 NPK plus kelp and micronutrients. Supports green, full fronds on indoor palms, potted palms, and landscape trees.
How to Use Palm Fertilizer
| Method | Amount | How Often |
|---|---|---|
| Watering can | 2 Tbs (30 mL) per gallon of water | Spring & summer: every 2 weeks |
| Watering can | Same dilution | Fall & winter: every 4 weeks |
| Hose-end sprayer | Set dial to the 1 oz (30 mL) setting | Spring & summer: every 2 weeks |
| Leaf misting (optional) | 1 tsp per quart (32 oz) of water | Every 1–2 weeks |
Use a loose, well-draining soil and let it dry out between waterings — palms like moderate-to-high watering with a dry-down.
What's Inside
The 3.6-3-5.1 ratio (3.6% nitrogen, 3% phosphate, 5.1% potash) is potassium-forward — built for the frond growth and structural strength palms need. All of the nitrogen is nitrate nitrogen, the form roots take up directly, for faster response and lower burn risk than ammonium-heavy formulas.
Beyond NPK: sea kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum) for natural growth compounds, plus calcium (2.1%), magnesium (0.75%), iron, manganese, zinc, boron, and copper — the micronutrients palms draw down hardest. Magnesium and manganese deficiency are the two most common causes of yellow or deformed palm fronds.
Made For
Indoor and outdoor palms — parlor palms, majesty palms, areca, kentia, ponytail palms, and landscape palms in warm climates. One bottle covers the whole growing season.
Problems It Solves
- Yellowing older fronds on palms that haven't been fed in months
- Frizzled or deformed new growth from manganese shortage
- Slow frond production on potted and long-established palms
- Pale, weak fronds that never reach full size
FAQs
How often should I feed my palm?
Every 2 weeks in spring and summer while the palm is actively pushing fronds, then every 4 weeks in fall and winter.
Will this burn my palm?
Not when used as directed. All of the nitrogen is nitrate nitrogen, which is gentler than ammonium-heavy fertilizers, so the burn risk is low at the labeled dilution.
Can I use it on both indoor and outdoor palms?
Yes. Use the same dilution for both — a watering can works for potted palms, and a hose-end sprayer covers larger landscape palms.
Why are my palm's older fronds turning yellow?
Usually magnesium or potassium shortage, which palms burn through quickly. This formula includes both, plus the micronutrients that keep new fronds coming in green.
When will I see results?
Greener existing fronds within a few weeks of consistent feeding; new frond growth builds over the season.
