It is a cool-season grass, so feed in spring and again in early fall. The fall feeding is the most important — it builds roots and color that carry into next spring.
At 1 tsp per quart, the 8 oz bottle makes about 48 watering cans of feed. For a typical shelf of 10–15 plants fed every 1–2 weeks in season, that's several months of feeding — and the 32 oz bottle four times that.
A hose-end sprayer set to the labeled rate covers a lawn in one pass; use a watering can for small patches. Apply in the morning or evening and water in lightly.
Heat dormancy. Bluegrass slows in high summer and greens back up when nights cool. Do not push it with heavy feeding in the heat; water deeply and feed again in September.
Yes once it has been watered in and the grass is dry. It contains nutrients only — no herbicides or pesticides.
Not at the labeled rate. Liquid feeding spreads evenly, so you avoid the streaks and burn spots uneven granular spreading can cause. Skip application in extreme heat.
