Every 2 weeks in spring and summer while it's actively growing and budding, then every 4 weeks in fall and winter.
At 1 tsp per quart, the 8 oz bottle makes about 48 watering cans of feed. For a typical shelf of 10–15 plants fed every 1–2 weeks in season, that's several months of feeding — and the 32 oz bottle four times that.
That pattern usually means iron isn't available to the plant. Iron is included here, but gardenias also need acidic soil to absorb it — if yellowing persists, check your soil pH.
Bud drop is usually caused by sudden changes in temperature, light, or watering rather than nutrition. Consistent feeding and consistent conditions together give buds the best chance to open.
Not when used as directed. The dilution is deliberately gentle at 1 tsp per quart, and most of the nitrogen is nitrate nitrogen, which is easier on roots than ammonium-heavy formulas.
Greener, glossier foliage usually shows within a few weeks of consistent feeding; bud and bloom benefits build over the season.
