Nitrogen sits at a deliberate 3%, all of it nitrate nitrogen — absorbed directly by roots, fast-acting with low burn risk — enough to keep leaves green and photosynthesizing, since a flowering plant still runs on foliage, but not so much that it stops setting buds and starts making leaves.

Beyond NPK: sea kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum) for natural growth compounds, plus calcium at an unusually high 2.1% and 0.75% magnesium, with iron, manganese, zinc, boron, and copper. Why do my hanging baskets stop blooming mid-summer?

Usually nutrient exhaustion plus spent flowers. Baskets are watered daily in heat, which flushes nutrients out fast — the potting mix is empty within weeks of purchase. Regular feeding at the label rate replaces what washes through. Pair it with deadheading: many annuals stop flowering once they set seed, so removing spent blooms keeps them producing. Both matter; neither works alone.

Why does my plant have leaves but no flowers?

Two usual causes, and neither is a shortage of bloom fertilizer. This is a complete feed; a booster isn't. With 3% nitrogen, this can be a flowering plant's only fertilizer through the season — it supplies foliage nutrition alongside bloom nutrition. A 0-10-10 booster has no nitrogen at all, so it's an add-on to push bloom on plants already fed something else. If you want one bottle for your flowers, this is it.

Can I use this on flowering houseplants?

Yes — African violets, orchids in bloom, anthurium, peace lilies, and Christmas cactus all benefit from a bloom-weighted feed. Use the same 2 Tbs per gallon dilution and follow the seasonal schedule, easing off during a plant's natural rest period after flowering. Species with unusual needs — orchids in bark, or carnivorous plants — do better on formulas built specifically for them.

When will I see results?

All the nitrogen is nitrate, absorbed directly by roots, so it starts working with the first watering. Plants already carrying buds respond fastest: better color and longer-lasting blooms within 1-2 weeks. New bud production takes longer — expect a visible increase in flower count over 3-5 weeks of regular feeding, since the plant has to initiate those buds before it can open them.
