What's Inside

A 0-10-10 ratio — no nitrogen on purpose. Phosphate at 10% drives bud formation and bloom development, and 10% potash moves sugars into flowers and manages the water pressure that keeps petals full. Leaving nitrogen at zero is the point: nitrogen tells a plant to make leaves, and when a mature plant keeps producing foliage instead of flowers, withholding it while boosting P and K is how you flip that switch. Both come from potassium phosphate and potassium sulfate, soluble forms roots take up quickly.

Beyond NPK: sea kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum) for natural growth compounds, plus 1% sulfur — the mineral behind the volatile compounds that give roses, jasmine, and other fragrant flowers their scent, and one that washes out of frequently watered beds and containers. Because this formula carries no nitrogen at all, it's built to run alongside a complete fertilizer rather than replace it.

Add 1-2 tsp per gallon of feedwater and apply once weekly in spring and summer, dropping to every 4-8 weeks in fall and winter. A hose end sprayer set to the 2 tsp setting covers beds quickly, and you can optionally mist leaves with 1 tsp per quart weekly. Run it alongside your regular fertilizer schedule rather than replacing it.

Why does my plant have lots of leaves but no flowers?

Two usual causes: too much nitrogen or too little light. Lawn fertilizers and heavy all-purpose feeding keep plants in leaf-production mode, and most flowering plants simply won't set buds without enough direct sun. Check the light first — no fertilizer overrides shade. If light is right, this 0-10-10 formula addresses the nitrogen side by boosting phosphorus and potassium without adding any more.

Can I use this instead of my regular fertilizer?

No — and that's by design. With zero nitrogen, this can't be a plant's only food; nitrogen is still essential for the foliage that powers blooming, and a plant fed only 0-10-10 long-term will pale and stall. Keep your complete fertilizer as the base nutrition and add this as the bloom push. The label's dual schedule is built for running both.

When should I start and stop using it?

Start as plants approach their bloom window — when buds should be forming — and run it weekly through the flowering season. For repeat bloomers like roses, continue between flushes to fuel the next round. Taper to the fall and winter schedule as blooming winds down. For spring bulbs, feeding after flowers fade helps the bulb store energy for next year's bloom.

Does sulfur really make flowers more fragrant?

Sulfur is a building block of many of the volatile compounds that create floral scent, and it's a nutrient that leaches out of containers and sandy beds faster than most people realize. Supplying it supports a fragrant variety's ability to produce its full scent — it won't add fragrance a variety doesn't have. Genetics set the ceiling; nutrition helps the plant reach it.

When will I see results?

It depends where your plants are in their cycle. Plants actively forming buds respond fastest — fuller, better-holding blooms within 2-3 weeks. Shifting a leafy plant into flowering takes longer: expect the first new buds in 3-6 weeks of weekly use, since the plant has to initiate them from scratch.
