Every 1–2 weeks during spring and summer while it's actively growing, and every 4 weeks in fall and winter. Diluting into your regular watering (2 Tbs per gallon) keeps nutrition steady — banana plants are among the heaviest feeders you can grow and reward frequent feeding with fast growth.

At 1 tsp per quart, the 8 oz bottle makes about 48 watering cans of feed. For a typical shelf of 10–15 plants fed every 1–2 weeks in season, that's several months of feeding — and the 32 oz bottle four times that.

Bananas are built for speed given three things: steady nitrogen, consistent moisture, and warmth. This formula covers the nutrition, running nitrogen with high potassium for both leaf growth and stem strength. Pair regular feeding with plenty of water and a warm, bright spot, and each new leaf should come in larger than the last.

Yellowing along the leaf edges while the center stays green is the classic magnesium shortfall in bananas, and magnesium is in the formula at 0.75%. Existing damaged leaves won't fully recover, but new growth should come in evenly green within a few weeks of regular feeding.

Fruiting depends on the plant reaching maturity in a long enough warm season, but potassium is the nutrient most tied to fruit production, and this formula leads with it at 5.1%. Feed consistently through the growing season to build a strong, mature plant — that's the foundation fruiting is built on.

No — at the directed dilution, the formula is designed for frequent use. All-nitrate nitrogen and low salt concentration make burn very unlikely, even under the heavy feeding bananas want. For recently potted or divided plants, start at half strength for the first two feedings.

Bananas grow fast, so results come quickly — new leaves often appear within a week or two of regular feeding during warm weather, each larger than the last. It's one of the most responsive plants you can feed.
